Tennessee Titans Final Mock Draft
Here is Fanspeak’s final, full 2013 Tennessee Titans Mock Draft:
10. Tennessee Titans – DE Bjoern Werner, FSU
About the Pick: Werner has had a strong year and has established himself as a top 10-15 talent in this draft class. He fits best in a 4-3 scheme, where he can keep his hand in the dirt. He has big upside as an edge rusher and should make an immediate impact in that area. He may struggle some versus the run initially at the next level, but should be an every down player fairly quickly.
Steve’s Take: The Titans biggest need was guard, but they filled that in free agency. Now they should turn their attention on the defense. Either an edge rusher or defensive tackle would make sense. In Werner they are getting a guy who is a complete player and who should really boost their pass rush.
40. Tennessee Titans- CB D.J. Hayden, Houston
70. Tennessee Titans- DT Jesse Williams, Alabama
97. Tennessee Titans (Compensatory)- S Tony Jefferson, Oklahoma
107. Tennessee Titans- WR Aaron Mellette, Elon
142. Tennessee Titans- QB Landry Jones, Oklahoma
202. Tennessee Titans (Compensatory)- WR Rodney Smith, FSU
216. Tennessee Titans- G Omoregie Uzzi, Georgia Tech
248. Tennessee Titans (Compensatory)- G Eric Herman, Ohio
-I look for this to be a pretty defensive focused draft for the TItans, particularly in the early rounds. I think Tennessee is in a position to add an impact defensive end in the first round, which should really help their defensive outlook. I also look for Tennessee to grab some defensive backs which has become a growing concern. Later in the draft I like the Titans to take a shot on a developmental quarterback, like Landry Jones. Jake Locker is still the Titans quarterback going forward, but the Titans need to be prepared if he’s not the answer.
