Reasons for the trades:
A. Atlanta-Pittsburgh: The Falcons are kinda all-in this year with Tony Gonzalez set to retire after the season. I can see them making a big splash to add another weapon, while at the same time filling his shoes for the future. For Pittsburgh they continue to stockpile picks and get younger.
B. Cincinnati-Washington: The Bengals have a quality offense, but they can’t get complacent. Adding a top notch interior lineman, could really boost this team. For the Redskins, they pick up another pick to improve their young core.
C. K.C. -Green Bay: The Chiefs don’t appear too content with Matt Cassel and could look to find his replacement this year. Although I’m not the biggest Osweiler fan, there is a lot of hype there so K.C. might need to trade up. From the Packers perspective they replace some of their picks they lost by moving up in the first round, and should still get a good player in the 3rd round.
D. St. Louis-San Francisco: The Rams lock up one of the better OLB’s in this class, and given their extra picks from their first trade they aren’t sacrificing much. The 49ers get an extra pick for moving back just a few spots.
