Which Awards Show Is Your Favorite to Watch And Why?

With the ESPY’s airing last night I think it is high time we put that awards show at least on par with the major ones (Oscars, Emmy’s, and Grammy’s), but I realize most people won’t give give the ESPY’s it’s due. I personally feel that is unfortunate, as it has become such an entertaining blend, of comedy, music, and sports. I also feel that it is good that they recognize the accomplishments of all sports and not just the American ‘Big Four’. Finally, while some might think the ESPY’s are a new fad, it is important to remember Jim Valvano’s impassioned acceptance speech (if you have 10 minutes watch it), that announced the creation of the Jimmy V foundation, which has since raised over $100 million for cancer research.

What do you guys think? Should the ESPY’s be in the same category as the ‘big boys’ and where does it rank for you in terms of value?
