SLICK’S PICKS: CHAMPIONSHIP WEEK:

You listened right?  Please tell me you enjoyed the fruits from the SLICK TREE last weekend.  4-0!! BOOM!  TULANE, MARSHALL, DUKE, and TCU (even with Dalton) were all winners.  (also note that we dont count michigan’s 8th straight loss ATS – against the spread – but dont worry, there is still the bowlgame to dump antoher few units on).

So, coming off of a great week, there may actually be something SLICKSTERs call “expectations” now.  Winners baby!  We want winners!  And thats what SLICK is prepared to deliver, one more time before bowl season.  SLICK says “winning isnt everything, its the only thing,” so read on my friends…

This weeks matchups are always tricky… the Conference Championships sometimes are not as important as they may seem and picking winners doesnt always add up, so as usual, SLICK is going outside of the natural SEC and BIG12 showdowns to bring you all what you want, in any way possible.

Allow me to start with a little treat as the weekend begins with a Friday night special.  I love Fresno ST in the night cap.  ILLINOIS has not shown that they can beat quite frankly, anyone, and there is something about Fresno St and the weird V on their helmet that i have always liked.

TAKE FRESNO ST +6 V ILLINOIS

On to Saturday.  Great, the SEC championship/BIG12 championship… who cares?  Either way, the BCS will screw it up for TCU so the game reallly means nothing.  Auburn should win, maybe a tight game and oklahoma should secure their BCS bowl with a good win V nebraska, i like them ATS, but SLICK prefers a few others just a little more…

Take LA TECH +8 V NEVADA – Nevada played the game of their lives, and still should have lost last week.  LA Tech is better than people think, especially in tomorrows game.  TAKE LA TECH – this will be close.

Take CINCY – 2 v PITT.  bearcats will handle pitt in a low scoring affair and most likely by at least a TD.  Dont be fooled by Cincis 4-7 record… They will come to play and they will be the panthers in ohio.

Two more games struck my fancy this weekend, which im sure none of you will be watching.  TAKE the RAAAIIIDDDEEERRSSS.  no, not the Oakland Rainders, im talking about the MIDDLE TENN ST BLUE RAIDERS.  this team has struggled all year long to find a rythym, and wouldnt you know, the season is almost over, and they have found it.  They will play FLA INT tough… its a trendy pick, and I LOVE TRENDS.  dont miss out on the 5 points…soon it will be less.  TAKE MIDD TENN ST +5 V FLA INT

And finally, the old WASH V WASH ST game… what is that called now?  the fruit cup?  apple cup?  who knows.  TAKE STATE!  WASH STATE at HOME with the points.  STATE wins this game.  But wait, the huskies need a win for 6 and a bowl and state has been miserable… forgettaboutit… COUGARS win, and Locker prepares for a very very rough draft day.  TAKE WASH ST +6 V WASHINGTON.
