Fantasy Football: Deep Sleepers for 2017
1- Trevor Siemian- QB- Broncos
After a camp battle it was Siemian who won the starting job in Denver. And now it is season two as the starter and maybe more of a relaxed situation. He still has two top of the line receivers with him so Siemian could put up some points as a down the line starter. Maybe more of a cheap daily option who could hit the jackpot in the right situation.
2- Rex Burkhead– RB- Patriots
The Pats running back situation is always a wild ride for fantasy fans all season. They got guys coming back and new guys coming in. One of those guys is Burkhead from the Bengals. Blount is gone and so are the touchdown opportunities. Can Burkhead take some or a lot of those? Why not?
3- Chris Godwin– WR- Buccaneers
I know the Bucs had Evans and Brate and then added Desean and OJ Howard but they also took Godwin early. I think if he gets a chance due to injury he could have some impact. I felt this last season when he was a big play machine in college. Remember Desean is a 45-50 catch guy so there will be chances for a loaded Tampa offense.
4- Ted Ginn- WR- Saints
I would take a late flyer on the inconsistant Ginn. It is crazy he is still in the league, but he is. And now it is in New Orleans where anyone can put up catch numbers and yards. He is not Cooks for sure but could but a dent in the Cook’s numbers.
5- CJ Fiedorowicz- TE- Texans
More of a common name than the others. Gone is the mess of Osweiler in Houston finally. Is Savage gonna be Tom Brady? Or will Watson be Cam Newton if he plays? No on both. But CJ should be more of a factor in a more balanced offense.
