Waiver Wire Pickups for Week Thirteen

Fantasy Football Waiver Wire

Isaiah Crowell

It is amazing to think that Isaiah Crowell is only owned in 28 percetn of fantasy football leagues. The Browns’ backfield situation has been a bit hard to judge this season, but Crowell has performed pretty well despite having to share time. This past weekend he managed to rush for 88 yards and two touchdowns. Touchdowns are where Crowell has made his money this season. With the addition of Josh Gordon to the starting lineup, defenses are going to have to pay extra close attention to the Browns’ passing game. This means Crowell will have more space to run in the upcoming weeks. He has a tough matchup this weekend against the Buffalo Bills, but there is no reason why he could not be used as a flex player.

Caleb Sturgis

More than likely Caleb Sturgis has put up more fantasy points than any other kicker on your league’s free agency. Despite only scoring four fantasy points in week twelve against the Denver Broncos, Sturgis is still just shy of 100 points on the season. He should be able to have much more success this weekend against the New York Jets.

Andrew Hawkins

The Browns’ least talked about wide receiver this season has been Andrew Hawkins. Hawkins has been quietly putting up decent fantasy total for the past couple weeks now. He has gone for at least 90 yards in each of the last two games. He will have much easier time getting open now that Josh Gordon is back. Gordon demands double coverage. This just leaves Hawkins in a better spot to continue putting up a decent number of fantasy points each week.

Eli Manning

Manning always has a ton of upside, it is just difficult to start him because a bust week is always looming.

Eli Manning is only owned in about 37 percent of fantasy points. That is pretty amazing considering he has led all quarterbacks in fantasy points on a couple of occasions this season. The problem with Manning is how inconsistent he is. However, now that he has Rashad Jennings back, he is doing much better. He still cannot seem to fix his inception problems, but for fantasy owners looking to switch out a quarterback each week, Manning is an excellent choice.
Jarvis Landry

Jarvis Landry looks like he may have finally found his feet in the NFL. He performed very well in week twelve; going for 50 yards and two touchdowns. However, the most important stat line is the number of targets he has received from Ryan Tannehill in the past few games. In the past three weeks, Landry has been targeted 26 times. He was targeted 11 times last weekend against the Denver Broncos. With this many opportunities coming his way, there is no reason why he could not be a flex starter any given week.
