Fantasy Football Waiver Wire

Kirk Cousins has been fantastic in place of RGIII. He is on his way to becoming a must start fantasy football quarterback.

Kirk Cousins has been one of the most productive quarterbacks in fantasy football over the past two weeks. Last week he threw for 427 yards and three touchdowns. He did throw an interception, but when a guy is just filling in for a starter it is understandable. Fantasy owners will forgive him. The Washington Redskins are playing host to the New York Giants on Thursday night. Thus far, the Giants have proved they are incapable of stopping any offense. Kirk Cousin is a must start for anyone with a quarterback on a bye week.

 John Brown

Arizona Cardinals’ rookie wide receiver John Brown is getting some attention from his quarterback. His yardage total may not be eye popping by any means, but he has scored three touchdowns so far this season. He is actually the highest scoring Cardinals’ wide out in terms of fantasy points. Yes, that is the same Arizona Cardinals team with a future Hall of Fame wide receiver.

Markus Wheaton

Markus Wheaton is definitely a better option for fantasy owners competing in PPR leagues. However, eventually he will find his footing a make a suitable player in all formats. Big Ben really likes throwing this guy the ball. The Steelers’ offense has improved so much since last season. Wheaton is easily overlooked by defenses that are forced to focus on stopping Antonio Brown and Le’Veon Bell. Wheaton is a good option to stash away for later.

This week's defense for those who like to rotate defenses is definitely the Dolphins.

Miami Dolphins Team Defense

The Dolphins are taking on the Oakland Raiders this weekend. The Raiders’ just have not looked like they are going to be competitive this season. Obviously the best defensive matchup this week is the Patriots versus the Buccaneers. More than likely, someone in your league has the Patriots. The next best option for those owners who swap out defenses each week based on their matchup is the Dolphins.

 Matt Asiata

Matt Asiata may not have looked as good as he did in week three, but it is a definite thing that he will be the starter until the whole mess with Adrian Peterson is figured out. The Vikings do not have another option, so there is no reason to fear a time sharing situation. Any time a player becomes a workhorse back, he has to be owned in fantasy leagues.
