Fantasy Football Week 4 Start ’em Sit ’em
By Staff Writer Ryan Gerrity @RyanGerrity:
Start Em’:
1. Alex Smith, QB, Kansas City Chiefs
Smith and the Chiefs are taking on the 0-3 Giants. The Giants secondary looks average at best and Alex Smith is connecting with his targets. I expect a big game.
2. Dwayne Bowe, WR, Kansas City Chiefs
Like above with Alex Smith, the Chiefs take on the disappointing Giants. Bowe can have a field day with this secondary being undersized. Look for a lot of targets going Bowe’s way.
3. Jason Avant, WR, Philadelphia Eagles
Avant and the Eagles are playing the Denver Broncos this week, so I am predicting a lot of passing plays from the Chip Kelly offense.
4. Chiefs D/ST
The Chiefs take on Eli Manning and the New York Giants. The Chiefs have surprised a lot of fantasy owners so far this year with 19 takeaways so far. Look for the Chiefs to continue to bring pressure and force bad decisions.
5. Heath Miller, TE, Pittsburgh Steelers
Miller returned to the lineup last week and made an immediate impact. Big Ben and Miller seemed to be on the page and I see that continuing against the Vikings this week.
Sit ‘Em:
1. Eli Manning, QB, New York Giants
Manning and the Giants take on the Kansas City Chiefs whose defense has 19 takeaways so far this year. Manning has the most interceptions as well, and they have no running game right now.
2. Giovanni Bernard, RB, Cincinnati Bengals
The Bengals face the Cleveland Browns this week which may seem like a good match-up. However the Browns only allow 86 yards a game rushing, and Green-Ellis could see more carries this week.
3. Greg Jennings, WR, Minnesota Vikings
The Vikings take on the Steelers this week in London. Ike Taylor will most likely cover Jennings, which is a tough match up alone. Having Ponder throwing him the ball makes things even tougher; do not expect much from Jennings this week.
4. Chris Johnson, RB, Tennessee Titans
The Titans are taking on one of the surprise defenses in the league this week with the New York Jets. Johnson has been productive but do not expect him to have a explosive game this week.
