Post Shanahan Interview Thoughts

Redskins Personnel Washington Commanders

Here are my thoughts on the Shanny interview which has taken over DC.  All based on believing him of course.

– Finding out he couldn’t stop the McNabb trade scared me and scares me for the future.

Wasn’t he supposed to have had full control of decisions?  Guess not.  Shocked he lasted two more seasons after letting that go.  And it does scare me because Allen made the trade and Allen is still here.  Does McCloughan have final say?  I am starting to wonder and it’s only been like a month since he came here.

– As for all the Griffin discussion, none of this surprised me at all.

We have learned for two head coaches who Griffin is now.  It is not a mystery on his attitude.  As for not coming out during his rookie season post Ngata hit, I believe Shanahan because we have proof that Griffin lied about his status.  It is on video tape during the Seattle game when he told Trent Williams to keep it quiet he tweaked it.

–  Also on Griffin…

Is it true what Shanny thought on Griffin not wanting to run certain offenses or plays coming from Snyder more than Griffin?  Again scary, but not surprised at all.  This is what the Redskins have been for fifteen years.  It shows on every ranking of pro sports franchises other than team value.

– I was a Shanahan backer but he is still at fault at a lot of things.

He should have stopped the QB trades if he wasn’t in agreement with them.  He was team President making $7 million a year.

– Why I can’t stand this team 97% time?  Just saw Larry Michael say that Shanahan was bitter after hearing the interview.

Please fire him like they fired Shanahan ASAP.  It won’t happen because after listening to the Shanny interview Michael had to run back to shovel the snow off Dan Snyder’s and Bruce Allen’s driveways.

– Finally outside of the Shanahan interview:

I was driving when I heard that Jay Gruden announced that RG3 is the starter for this season.  I was at a stop light or I would have driven off the road.  But after listening to the actual audio I don’t see it as Griffin is the starter for sure.  To me it sounds far from a sure thing and I still don’t count anything out when it comes to the starter.
