2014 NFL Mock Draft: Howard Ticker
1)Houston Texans: Blake Bortles, QB, UCF
The Texans need to bring in a young QB who can become their franchise guy. I only see Keenum as a career solid back up.
2) St. Louis Rams (from the Washington Redskins): Greg Robinson, OT, Auburn
The Rams can use a big tackle and Matthews is the best tackle in the draft.
3)Jacksonville Jaguars: Teddy Bridgewater, QB, Louisville
I like some of the pieces the Jags have on offense so hopefully he helps make it all work.
4)Cleveland Browns: Johnny Manziel, QB, Texas A&M
The Browns need a franchise QB and this is their guy. They also need to go add more offensive weapons. Josh Gordon is a great piece they already have.
5) Oakland Raiders: Sammy Watkins, WR, Clemson
I think the Raiders can go QB in the second round. Watkins has a chance to be a star in the NFL and he will make their QB better.
6)Atlanta Falcons: Khalil Mack, DE, Buffalo
The Falcons are another team that needs help with the pass rush. Clowney worries me a bit to be the first defensive end off the board.
7)Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Jadeveon Clowney, DE, South Carolina
Offensive tackle is also a potential move here but I do not think they pass up on one of these top defensive ends.
8)Minnesota Vikings: Anthony Barr, DE/OLB, UCLA
I had the Vikings going quarterback for a while but I think Barr would be a better pick up now and they can draft a quarterback later.
9) Buffalo Bills: Jake Matthews. OT, Texas A&M
The Bills have a big need at tackle. Defensive end or wide receiver is also a possibility here but Matthews is too good to pass up.
10)Detroit Lions: Mike Evans, WR, Texas A&M
I had the Lions going cornerback for a while but they need another weapon who is dangerous once they catch the ball besides Johnson and Bush.
11)Tennessee Titans: Darqueze Dennard, CB, Michigan St.
The Titans need a safety secondary help. Tackle and defensive end is also a possibility here.
12) New York Giants: Taylor Lewan, OT, Michigan
The Giants offensive line had a terrible year so this would be a great pick up for them. Linebacker and cornerback is also a possibility here.
13) St. Louis Rams: HaHa Clinton-Dix, Safety, Alabama
The Rams need a safety and Clinton-Dix is the best one in this draft.
14) Chicago Bears: Justin Gilbert, CB, Oklahoma State
The Bears will need cornerback help this offseason because some of their players are heading to free agency. This will be a great pick up for the Bears here.
15) Pittsburgh Steelers: Eric Ebron, TE, UNC
The Steelers need a tight end and receiver and Ebron would help on both ends with his versatility. Offensive tackle is also a possibility,
16)Dallas Cowboys: Kyle Van Noy, DE/OLB, BYU
Cowboys could use some help on the defensive line and I love this move for them. Tackle is also a potential move here.
17)Baltimore Ravens: Marqise Lee, WR, USC
He would be a huge pick up for the Ravens here. The Ravens miss Boldin this season at wide receiver and their tight ends have been weak this year as well.
18) New York Jets: Jace Amaro Jr., TE, Texas Tech
Geno Smith had almost zero help on offense this year so this would be a huge need pick for them.
19) Miami Dolphins: Zack Martin, G/OT, Notre Dame
I have been having the Dolphins go defensive tackle a while now but they really need offensive line help if they want Tannehill to get better.
20)Arizona Cardinals: Louis Nix, DT, Notre Dame
The Cardinals need defensive line help so this is a good pick up for them.
21)Green Bay Packers: Austin Sefarian-Jenkins, TE, Washington
The Packers do not know if they will get Finley back can be the future at tight end and help draw some defensive players and open up more potential receptions for the Packers already scary receiving core when healthy.
22)Philadelphia Eagles: Jason Verrett, CB, TCU
Corner is a big need for the Eagles so this should be a good pick up. DT is also a need here.
23)Kansas City Chiefs: C.J Mosely, ILB, Alabama
The Chiefs have a need at inside linebacker and Mosley should be able to come in and help immediately. Chiefs could also possibly add a wide receiver here.
24) Cincinnati Bengals: Bradley Roby, CB, Ohio St
25)San Diego Chargers: Ra’Shede Hageman, DT, Minnesota
The Chargers need some defensive tackle help and I think Hageman is a good fit here. Cornerback back is also a possibility here.
26) Cleveland Browns (from the Colts): Odell Beckham, WR, LSU
The Browns have Josh Gordon and drafting Beckham would be another great talent that can come in and help.
27) New Orleans Saints: Stephon Tuitt, DE/DT, Notre Dame
This would be a huge addition to this Saints defense because Tuitt is versatile and they need help as defensive end and defensive tackle.
28) Carolina Panthers: Kelvin Benjamin, WR, FSU
Cam Newton can use someone else to throw to. Think about how fun Steve Smith and Kelvin Benjamin would be together. Offensive tackle is also a possibility.
29)New England Patriots: Timmy Jernigan, DT, FSU
Tight end is a huge need for the Patriots but I have them going Defensive tackle.
30)San Francisco 49ers: Brandin Cooks, WR, Oregon St.
Wide receiver is a big possibility here if they lose Boldin or Maningham in free agency. Secondary help is also a potential mover here.
31)Denver Broncos: Marcus Roberson, CB, Florida
The Broncos need to add some youth to their corner backs so I like this move. Defensive end or offensive tackle is also a possibility.
32)Seattle Seahawks: Jordan Matthews, WR, Vanderbilt
The Seahawks can use some more receiving options so I like them picking up the best available one here.
