Cricket is an international sport that gathers thousands of people from all over the world. Thanks to stumped.app and other criket dedicated sites, there are world-famous cricket players that everybody knows of. Nevertheless, not only skilled cricketers are worth praising. Sometimes people forget about those who train the players and make sure that they are at their best. Today we are going to change that and talk about the top ten cricket coaches of 2019.

  1. Ravi Shastri

The coach of Indian National Cricket Team comes first in this list. Being a player himself, he used his experience to train his players and make Indian team one of the strongest in the world. He trains such stars as Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and others.

  1. Justin Langer

Another example of a great coach is Justin Langer. He works with the Australian national cricket team and has made it a strong opponent in the cricket world. An amazing technique of famous Steve Smith is also his accomplishment. During 2019 Ashes, the Australian team has won first two tests, so Justin is doing his job properly.

  1. Ottis Gibson

Ottis Gibson is also a former cricketer and has become an excellent coach. After finishing his career as a bowler, he succeeded as a coach for the South Africa cricket team from 2017 to 2019. According to the ICC Men’s Test Team Rankings, South Africa’s team holds the second place with 2917 points.

  1. Gary Stead

The coach of the New Zealand team that has the second place in Test Ranks, no praises are needed for this amazing coach and mentor. As of July 2019, New Zealand’s team has won 502 games which is a great result.

  1. Trevor Bayliss

He used to be an excellent cricketer in the past and has continued his career as a coach for the English cricket team. Needless to say, that thank to him, the team reached the new level. It showed great results during the 2019 Ashes against the Australian players.

  1. Rumesh Ratnayake

The next person on our list is Rumesh Ratnayake who is a current coach for Sri Lanka national cricket team. Due to his training, the team is now on the 6th place in the Test Team Rankings of ICC.

  1. Phil Simmons

Phil Simmons, who is a former all-rounder, has also managed to build a successful career as a coach. Being 56 years old now, he serves as a coach and mentor for the Afghanistan cricket team. Before that, he also worked with the West Indies team. Afghanistan holds the 11th place in the test ranking which is the best result of the team during the years of its existence.

  1. Floyd Reifer

The 8th number on our list is Floyd Reifer. He had a long career with many accomplishments as a cricketer, but in 2019 he was appointed as the head coach for West Indies Cricket Team. According to Men’s T20I Team Rankings, West Indies has the 9th place with 5378 scores. We are looking forward to seeing how Reifer will work with the team in the future.

  1. Russell Domingo

Russel Domingo, the coach for Bangladesh national cricket team, holds the 9th place in our list. Bangladesh team earned the 6th place in the ICC T20 World Cup and are continuing to show great results. It is obvious that Domingo was not only a good cricketer but is also a good coach.

  1. Graham Ford

Graham Ford worked as a coach for many cricket teams. Right now, he serves as a mentor for the Ireland cricket team. In 2019 Irish cricketers made a record partnership score that shows that Ford knows how to do his job well.

To sum everything up, although cricketers deserve the fame and praises they get, it is important to remember the coaches, who trained them every day and helped on their way to greatness.
