Week 7 NFL Against the Spread Picks and Predictions

NFL Steve O Speak

After six weeks of NFL football, it gets harder to predict winners on against the spread picks.

Many teams that started the season as big underdogs, such as the Jets or Bears, now head into games with only a field goal spread which is hard to cover.

There are still plenty of opportunities to cash in on however and we’ve got the updated NFL betting odds for all Week 7 games along with some of our top ATS picks.

Week 7 ATS Picks

Atlanta Falcons at New England Patriots

Spread: Patriots -3

The Patriots defense isn’t what it was last season, so Matt Ryan and Julio Jones should do better in this game. However, the Falcons are struggling without the leadership of Kyle Shanahan and the presence of a healthy Rob Gronkowski will have Atlanta suffering. The Pats will win once more and cover.

Pick: Patriots -3

New Orleans Saints at Green Bay Packers

Spread: Saints -5.5

There’s no doubt the NFC playoff picture, and the Packers’ road to make it to the postseason, has changed dramatically with Aaron Rodgers’ injury in Week 6. However, Green Bay still has a quality receiving corps to make Brett Hundley’s job much easier. Nevertheless, the Saints’ defense has also improved and on the flipside the Packers’ defense will struggle against Drew Brees.

Pick: The Saints will win, but won’t cover. Take the Packers at +5.5.

Minnesota Vikings at Baltimore Ravens

Spread: Vikings -5.5

The Vikings clawed their way to the top of the NFC North behind a hard-nosed defense. Joe Flacco, fresh off a loss against the Bears, will suffer once more as the Ravens’ offense sputter and lies dead in the water. On the other side, Case Keenum will lead the Vikings’ offense fearlessly to another Vikings victory.

Pick: Notch a win for the Vikings that will cover.

Carolina Panthers at Chicago Bears

Spread: Panthers -3

Panthers fans should take heed, this is a trap game for Carolina. Chicago has proved its grit and can put the Panthers in dire straights. Nevertheless, Cam Newton will target Christian McCaffrey all night long without any Bear able to slow him down. Carolina’s defense should also be looking forward at going after rookie Mitchell Trubisky.

Pick: Panthers win and cover.
