While Alabama may be seeing its title hopes slipping away as the injuries continue to pile up, there’s still no shortage of talent on the team.
Seven Crimson Tide players made ESPN NFL draft analyst Todd McShay’s latest top-32 rankings, including WRs Jerry Jeudy (No. 3), Henry Ruggs III (15 and DeVonta Smith (28), QB Tua Tagovailoa (13), DL Raekwon Davis (18), safety Xavier McKinney (21) and edge Terrell Lewis (30).
McShay had high praise for all the Alabama players.
“McKinney has become the guy in the Alabama secondary,” McShay writes. “He is a real leader on defense, getting teammates lined up in the right scheme and then playing hard and showing toughness on every snap.
McKinney, a 6-foot-1, 200-pound junior, has racked up 74 tackles, already equaling last year’s tally, 2 forced fumbles, 1 interception and 4 pass deflections.
