Brandon Jones already has an impressive resume:

One of the team captains

On the watch lists for the Bronko Nagurski and the Lott IMPACT trophy awards

Honorable mention All-Big 12 in 2018

Leads the team in tackles (61) to go along with 4.5 tackles for loss, 1 sack, 2 interceptions and 3 pass breakups this season

But if you’re looking for Jones’ name in an NFL mock draft, you likely won’t find him in the first round. Or second round.

That could be changing.

Jones (6-feet, 205-pounds) recently accepted an invitation to the Senior Bowl, along with teammates Collin Johnson and Devin Duvernay, both wide receivers.

Jones was lauded for his efforts by Pro Football Focus.

“Jones has seen his grades take a massive leap in 2019 by moving more to a slot role in the Texas defense,” PFF writes in its Senior Bowl update. “After earning a 46.7 overall grade last year, he’s at 76.0 this season.”

Jones is ranked as the No. 119 overall prospect in the latest Fanspeak On The Clock big board.
