Scouting Reports

SCOUTING REPORT  – CB Morris Claiborne:

Measurables:

Height:  5’11”

Weight:195

Pros:

  •  Ideal height and bulk with extremely long arms
  • Fluid Hips, capable of turning and running with receivers
  • Advanced coverage instincts
  • Played against elite competition
  • Good ball skills, breaks on the ball quickly
  • Pretty sure tackler

Cons:

  • Lacks elite speed
  • Will lose some battles to bigger receivers

Analysis:

Claiborne is an elite prospect, and is a guy who has the ability to develop into a true ‘shut down’ corner. His coverage and ball skills are what separate him from the rest of the class. He’s a smart player, who is one of the elite defensive players in the draft. He should be a top 5 pick and an immediate starter. He’s even a more advanced corner than last year’s first rounder Patrick Petersen.
