Colorado LB Davion Taylor runs blistering 40 at Buffs’ Pro Day

With top prospect Laviska Shenault sitting out Colorado’s Pro Day while recovering from surgery, it was linebacker Davion Taylor who stole the show.
Taylor (6-0, 228) ran the 40-yard dash in a time of 4.39 seconds to go along with a vertical leap of 36 inches, according to The Athletic’s Nicki Jhabvala.
Taylor previously ran a 4.49-second 40-yard dash at the Combine and had a vertical leap of 35 inches.
His pro day times would have placed him in elite company at the Combine. His 40 time would have been just a tick off the all-time record for a LB of 4.38 seconds and would have tied him for the fastest time with Clemson’s Isaiah Simmons.

And Taylor’s vertical jump would have tied him for sixth-best among LBs at the Combine.
The senior has seen his stock soar since the season ended, as he was also invited to the Senior Bowl.

“Taylor has many of the same comps as Isaiah Simmons and would fit the Chiefs perfectly here.”
Colorado LB Davion Taylor only played six quarters in high school, and now his name could be called in the NFL Draft. His story is well known, but you've never heard it told like this. Read "An Answered Prayer" with @DavionTaylot here:https://t.co/jvTJtCHScV pic.twitter.com/lIf2wqtf0Q
