Doug Martin Out Indefinitely But Still Hopeful for Return

By Guest Writer Sebastian Salazar:

News just gets worse and worse for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as they have learned that star RB Doug Martin will be out indefinitely with a torn labrum.

Reports on Monday were stating that Doug Martin was lost for the year. Head coach Greg Schiano and Doug Martin both stated that the reports were not true and that he is day-to-day.  Martin will definitely not be playing in tonight’s game against the Panthers.

Doug Martin was a big weapon for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as he was second to only reigning MVP RB Adrian Peterson in rushing attempts for his team.

The Bucs will now rely on rookie RB Mike James who played at University of Miami and veteran RB Brian Leonard. This injury can actually help the Bucs as teams before were stacking the box to stop Doug Martin, now with a rookie QB and rookie RB, defenses will now have to choose to either defend the pass or run. The Bucs are playing on Thursday Night Football against NFC South rival the Carolina Panthers.
