Football Fans in England

NFL Steve O Speak

Which English team has the best and most loyal fans? There is no straightforward answer to this question, but we will try and go through some of the basics to help you at least get closer to the final conclusion in regards to this particular matter.

Now, most of you would connect this notion to the stadium size and the average attendance on particular team’s matches. This would, however, not give you an accurate answer since the size has nothing to do with loyalty and since you have much smaller stadiums filled with crowd whose songs don’t stop throughout 90 minutes.

Obviously, the bigger the stadium, the harder it is for the team’s fans to fill at least 90% of it in every single match. However, you’d be surprised to see which of the teams actually did manage to beat this figure regularly in the 2016/17 Premier League campaign.

As the matter of fact, Bettingtips4you have done a research on the fans in England this summer, and they came out with some really interesting facts after combining the answers they received with the actual attendance on the stadiums in the last term of the elite class of the English football.

Interestingly, Stoke City are among top-rated sides on this matter as 27.400 of their fans visited Bet365 Stadium on average last year which is super impressive knowing that the capacity is 27.932. Crystal Palace, who barely saved the elite class status last year, drew an average of 25.080 fans per match which is also quite a remarkable figure given that the Selhurst Park capacity does not exceed 25.456 positions.

It’s not hard to notice the football madness in the eyes of every single man in Liverpool which is why you should not be surprised to see Everton’s fans filling 98.36% of Goodison Park on average. Leicester City may have lost all the glamour after winning the Premier League silverware and finishing bottom half in the following season, but their supporters knew how to appreciate the magnificent achievement as they almost reached the 99% when it comes to King Power Stadium’s attendance on average in the last season.

These were all the sides who got near to 99% and there are only three teams which went beyond this percentage figure in the last term of the competition. Can you guess? Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal are three names you are looking for, and according to most of the surveys, they have the most loyal fans in the UK.
