Wow, what a Super Bowl! So where does it rank in most exciting games in Super Bowl history? There’s been a lot of great, exciting ones just in the last decade!
Discuss and recap the game, the commercials, the halftime show, and anything else Super Bowl XLVI related here!
How about decisions at the end of the game…did you agree with Bradshaw “falling in” for touchdown? Did you agree with Patriots to “let” the Giants score touchdown for more time?
The NFL Offseason has officially begun!!

It was a great game. I’m glad the Giants won. I have to admit, though, I was pretty upset with Bradshaw for not laying down. I know there was no guarantee that they’d score later if he had stopped at the 1-yard line, but leaving almost a minute and one timeout for Brady is usually just asking for trouble. They should have been more aware of the clock and could’ve managed it better.
The Giants certainly earned the victory for two reasons: they shut down the Patriots (for the most part) offensively and they were able to get enough points to win. That last TD was a bit odd, but they are absolutely worthy champs (as much as I hate them).
Manning outplayed Brady down the stretch. Manningham made the catch, Welker didn’t. Pretty much how I see the game. Pretty sure Bradshaw could have kept himself out of the endzone but figure he wanted to be the one to score the winning TD in a Super Bowl.
Hard to root for the Giants since they are in our division, but my anti-Brady sentiment took over so I’m happy that the Giants won. I think Belichick made the right decision to let them score. I’m torn on the question of whether Bradshaw should have stayed out of the endzone. On the one hand, I think the chances of Brady getting into field goal range with 20 seconds and no timeouts would be more remote than getting a TD with 57 seconds and one timeout. However, there’s no guarantee that the Giants get the chip shot field goal to take the lead. Does anybody remember what happened to Romo a few years ago against Seattle? Bad snap, muffed hold, Patriots block it – who knows. Plus, what if the ensuing kick-off goes out of bounds and the Patriots get the ball at the 40. Then, there is a much better chance of Brady getting into field goal range. Too many bad things that could happen if you play for the field goal. So I guess Bradshaw did the right thing – even if he didn’t mean to.
I was amazed at 2 things concerning the Bradshaw TD. 1- That Belichick and the Pats didn’t do it on 1st down and lost a timeout. 2- Hearing that the Giants didn’t discuss not scoring before in the huddle and that Bradshaw tried to stop because he heard Manning yelling to stop
