DAILY DISCUSSION: Early Look at Championship Games
January 16, 2012 in Uncategorized by Steve Shoup
So shockingly we have the NFC Championship game set as the Giants @ 49ers. And to no one’s surprise the AFC Championship game is the Ravens @ Patriots.
So in an early look…which game are you more excited to watch? What are your early Super Bowl predictions?

Patriots-Ravens, which unfortunately is the early game… However, I think the Ravens’ defense may slow the Pats down, but in the end Tom Brady and gang will win. In the NFC, it’ll be a low-scoring game, with the homestanding 49ers returning to their first Super Bowl in a long time. No Harbaugh Bowl, but it’ll be a good game.
Im looking forward to a super harbowl… Although i think the giants are going to win it all.
I shouldn’t disagree with you Rob…bc you’ve been right so far, but I wouldn’t be surprised if both away teams won next week and it was Ravens vs. Giants (rematch of 2001 Super Bowl)!
Could this NFL season be any more boring than it already has been? The answer is yes. How bland are these championship match-ups? It’s dreadful.
49ers and Pats to win.
Which sets up a horrible Super Bowl, but then again, any way you slice it, the answer is horrible.
Hopefully Vernon Davis does to the Giants what he did to the Saints. Not sold on the Pats so I think the Ravens can go up there and win. Reed and Lewis showing again that they show up when it counts.
I’m actually feeling better about Ravens vs. Pats then vs. Texans. The Ravens always play better when they are the underdog, whether legitimately or just in their minds.
Going into Foxborough, they are definitely the underdogs … so they’re more likely to be aggressive and win.
For some reason, I think Ravens have a real good shot in Foxborough as well! Agreed about Reed and Lewis…their window of time is getting very small, so they have a lot to play for!
I’m not a fan of 49ers or Giants…ugh!
Maybe we’ll have Harbowl Round 2 … that’d be fun. In the year of the QB, the two teams making it would be built on defense and the run.
