DAILY DISCUSSION: Which Coaches Will Make Their Return?
December 14, 2011 in Uncategorized by Steve Shoup
Yesterday we talked about NFL Coaching vacancies that have already opened up, and which ones may become open.
Now, which former NFL coaches do you think will re-appear on the sidelines next season? Bill Cowher, Jon Gruden, Jeff Fisher, others? Which ones are most likely to come back and where do you think they’ll go?

I think Jeff Fisher will be the first guy back on the sideline and I think he’ll go to K.C. or Miami, but who knows. I thought Bill Cowher would have been back by now but the longer it goes the less likely we will see him return.
I think Cowher is a) loving being on CBS and b) waiting for the right opportunity…. don’t see that changing for next season.
You don’t really see Brian Billick’s name popping up too much when talking about coaching vacancies, but you have to think he’d be in the running for some of the new openings. He’s doing great at Fox though, so not sure if he’s actually accept a coaching gig now.
I forgot about Brian Billick! Bet he comes back in next couple years. I agree that Cowher is patiently waiting for what he deems the perfect job!
And also agree I think Jeff Fisher will be back this offseason! I feel like Gruden will be back this year or next too…just have a feeling he’s getting the itch in the MNF booth!
