It really is amazing how quickly things can turn around during a long hockey season.
Take the last six Devils games, for instance—three before the All-Star break and three since.
In the three games leading up to the break, Pete DeBoer's team was 0-3 and scored all of three goals. In the three games since, the Devils are 3-0 and have scored 14, 15 if you count the one you get credit for when you win a shootout.
Suddenly, a team that was looking like it was a bit on the ropes just a week ago goes into Pittsburgh on Sunday trailing the Penguins by three points for fifth place in the Eastern Conference, and the Devils have a game in hand.
Heck, the Devils are just eight points behind the conference-leading Rangers.
