2013 NFL Draft Center Rankings

November 8, 2012 in Offensive Player Rankings

Center Rankings – UPDATED April 12, 2013:

1. Barrett Jones, Alabama

2. Travis Frederick, Wisconsin

3. Brian Schwenke, Cal

4. Khaled Holmes, USC

5. Braxston Cave, Notre Dame

6. Graham Pocic, Illinois

7. P.J. Lonergan, LSU

8. Eric Kush, California (Pa)

9. Dalton Freeman, Clemson

10. Matt Stankiewitch, Penn State

11. Ryan Turnley, Pitt

12. T.J. Johnson, South Carolina

Though not nearly as strong as the other two offensive line groups, the Center class does feature three high quality options at the top of the class. All three players have the potential to start early at the next level, and should be at least good starters. After the top three the class does thin out fairly fast, but there are a few guys with potential later.

2013 NFL Draft Offensive Guard Rankings

November 8, 2012 in Offensive Player Rankings

Offensive Guard Rankings – UPDATED April 12:

1. Chance Warmack, Alabama

2. Jonathan Cooper, UNC

3. Larry Warford, Kentucky

4. Brian Winters, Kent State

5. Alvin Bailey, Arkansas

6. Garrett Gilkey, Chadron State

7. J.C. Tretter, Cornell

8. Hugh Thornton, Illinois

9. Omoregie Uzzi, Georgia Tech

10. Jeff Baca, UCLA

11. Earl Watford, JMU

12. Eric Herman, Ohio

13. Sam Brenner, Utah

14. Braden Hansen, BYU

15. Mark Jackson, Glenville State

Though not as deep as the Tackle class, the guard class is special in its own right, as Chance Warmack and Jonathan Cooper are two of the elite prospects overall the last 10 years at the position. Both are highly rated and should be top 15 selections. Add in Larry Warford (who is a 2nd round talent), and you have three guards who have Pro Bowl upside and a high likelihood of succeeding. Though the depth does thin out, there is definitely a share of intriguing late round picks.

2013 NFL Draft Offensive Tackle Rankings

November 8, 2012 in Offensive Player Rankings

Offensive Tackle Rankings – UPDATED April 12:

1. Luke Joeckel, Texas A&M

2. Eric Fisher, CMU

3. Lane Johnson, Oklahoma

4. D.J. Fluker, Alabama

5. Kyle Long, Oregon

6. Justin Pugh, Syracuse

7. Dallas Thomas, Tennessee

8. Terron Armstead, Arkansas-PB

9. David Bakhtiari, Colorado

10. Menelik Watson, FSU

11. David Quessenberry, San Jose State

12. Jordan Mills, LA Tech

13. Brennan Williams, UNC

14. Chris Faulk, LSU

15. Oday Aboushi, UVA

16. Reid Fragel, Ohio State

17. Xavier Nixon, Florida

18. Ricky Wagner, Wisconsin

19. Braden Brown, BYU

20. Tanner Hawkinson, Kansas

21. Oscar Johnson, LA Tech

22. John Wetzel, Boston College

23. Luke Marquardt, Azusa Pacific

24. Dann O’Neill, Western Michigan

25. Manase Foketi, West Texas A&M

26. Jason Weaver, Southern Mississippi

The Tackle class is one of the deepest classes not just in this draft, but in recent history. There are three tackles above everyone else, and all three should end up going in the top 15 picks this April. Some tackles may end up moving inside to guard, which will thin out the options slightly, but it doesn’t diminish the overall talent in this group.

2013 NFL Draft Tight End Rankings

November 8, 2012 in Offensive Player Rankings

Tight Ends Rankings / UPDATED April 12:

1. Tyler Eifert, Notre Dame

2. Zach Ertz, Stanford

3. Vance McDonald, Rice

4. Gavin Escobar, San Diego State

5. Travis Kelce, Cincinnati

6. Jordan Reed, Florida

7. Nick Kasa, Colorado

8. Dion Sims, Michigan State

9. Chris Gragg, Arkansas

10. Michael Williams, Alabama

11. Ryan Otten, San Jose State

12. Mychal Rivera, Tennessee

13. Justice Cunningham, South Carolina

14. Jake Stoneburner, Ohio State

15. Mark Furstenburg, Maryland

16. Joseph Fauria, UCLA

17. Chris Pantale, Boston College

18. Zach Studfeld, Nevada

19. Jack Doyle, Western Kentucky

20. MarQueis Gray, Minnesota

21. Levine Toilolo, Stanford

22. Lucas Reed, New Mexico

The Tight end class is perhaps the strongest it has been since 2010. It is an extremely talented top of this draft class featuring a number of two-way tight ends, in addition to a couple movement tight ends.  Even after the top half of this class there are a number of intriguing late round options, and not just filled with back-up material. Some of these late round guys have real potential to develop into quality starters down the line.

25. Denard Robinson, Michigan

26. Alec Lemon, Syracuse

27. Marquess Wilson, Washington State

28. Ace Sanders, South Carolina

32. Tyrone Goard, Eastern Kentucky

33. T.J. Moe, Missouri

34. Ryan Spadola, Leigh

35. Emory Blake, Auburn

36. Chad Bumphis, Mississippi State

37. Sam McGuffie, Rice

38. Erik Highsmith, UNC

39. Keenan Davis, Iowa

40. Lanear Sampson, Baylor

42. Dan Buckner, Arizona

Despite lacking a true number one receiver, this class is very deep across the board. There is a tremendous mix of size, speed, and production in this class. Whether you are looking for a slot receiver, a deep threat or a Red Zone possession receiver, there are multiple options throughout the draft. As many as five receivers should go in the first round, and up to 15 could go in the top three rounds.

2013 NFL Draft Running Back Rankings

November 8, 2012 in Offensive Player Rankings

Running Back Rankings / UPDATED April 12, 2013:

1. Eddie Lacy, Alabama

2. Giovani Bernard, UNC

3. Johnathan Franklin, UCLA

4. Montee Ball, Wisconsin

5. Joseph Randle, Oklahoma State

12. Kenjon Barner, Oregon

13. Ray Graham, Pitt

14. Kerwynn Williams, Utah State

15. Rex Burkhead, Nebraska

16. Zach Line, SMU

17. Theo Riddick, Notre Dame

18. Marcus Lattimore, South Carolina

19. Zac Stacy, Vanderbilt

20. Cierre Wood, Notre Dame

21. Knile Davis, Arkansas

22. Miguel Maysonet, Stony Brook

23. Stefphon Jefferson, Nevada

24. Dennis Johnson, Arkansas

25. Montel Harris, Temple

26. Mike James, Miami

27. Michael Ford, LSU

28. D.J. Harper, Boise State

29. Chris Thompson, FSU

Despite having only one running back that deserves 1st round consideration (Eddie Lacy), the running back class offers a lot of quality options for teams throughout the draft. Though not everyone is a featured back, there are a good 15 backs who should offer early value as at least a situational runner or solid number two back.

2013 NFL Draft Quarterback Rankings

November 8, 2012 in Offensive Player Rankings

Quarterback Rankings – UPDATED April 12, 2013:

1. Geno Smith, WVU

2. Mike Glennon, NC State

3. Tyler Wilson, Arkansas

4. Matt Barkley, USC

5. E.J. Manuel, FSU

6. Ryan Nassib, Syracuse

7. Tyler Bray, Tennessee

8. Landry Jones, Oklahoma

9. Matt Scott, Arizona

10. Zac Dysert, Miami (Ohio)

11. Sean Renfree, Duke

12. Jordan Rodgers, Vanderbilt

13. Brad Sorensen, Southern Utah

14. Colby Cameron, LA Tech

15. Collin Klein, Kansas State

There is not much certainty in this draft class at the quarterback position, and we may see only one quarterback (Geno Smith) selected in the first round. With that said though, there is still some nice intriguing depth. Any of the top 10 quarterbacks have a chance of developing into a quality starter, and some of lower options project to be pretty solid back-ups. Though there are numerous options, the success rate this year is likely to be lower than most years (and that isn’t typically a high number).
