I can buy most of the picks you mock for Buffalo. The one I can’t is their fourth round pick, Da’John Harris, DT out of USC. Buffalo has an all pro tackle coming back from successful surgery to correct a problem he’s had since college. If they move to primarily a 4-3 scheme, as many expect with Dave Wannstedt being named the new defensive coordinator, Marcel Dareus will start as the other DT, and should give them one of the best tandems in pro football. Plus, Torrell Troup is coming back from successful back surgery. He is up to 320 lbs and is pretty athletic. He was not a factor in his rookie campaign because of the play of Kyle Williams more than anything else. He also came from a lesser football school, so he had a learning curve. The Bills do like him and believe he can be a factor though. The Bills also have Kellen Heard, who is huge and can move pretty well. Like Troup, he’s had a learning curve, but he got on the field a lot this past season. I think the Bills are not unhappy with that group, and with needs elsewhere, I don’t see them using anything more than a late pick (round 6 or 7) on a DT.
Meanwhile, Buffalo has a left tackle who can’t make it through a whole season without getting hurt, and the guy who filled in for him seemed to regress as the season went on. At this point we don’t know whether Buffalo will re-sign Demetrius Bell or let him walk. Yet there is no offensive tackle among your Bills picks. As I said, most of the picks are reasonable though.
