Here are my top positive takeaways from the Seahawks win on Sunday:
Another Ugly Win:
The Seahawks know how to win ugly games. Winning ugly games will happen over the course of a 16 game season, the good NFL teams win even when they aren’t playing their best football. The Seahawks played a sloppy game against Tennessee but found a way to win. Now the Seahawks need to clean up the mistakes before they take on the Cardinals Thursday night.
Russell Wilson is Playing Well-
Russell Wilson has been pretty solid in his second season and has managed to avoid the sophomore slump through 6 games this season. In Sunday’s game against the Titans, Wilson finished 23 of 31 for 257 yards and rushed for 61 yards on 10 carries. Most importantly, Wilson didn’t turn the ball over.
The Offense Goes as Marshawn Lynch Goes-
Marshawn Lynch continues to play at that “Beast Mode” level of play. Lynch had 21 carries for 77 yards and two touchdowns. He also caught 4 passes for 78 yards, which was a career high.
The defense continues to play at a high level-
The defense of the Seahawks forced 2 turnovers while holding the Titans offense scoreless and to a mediocre 223 yards of total offense. The Titans only touchdown came on a fumble recovery after a blocked field goal attempt.
