Two great things about SU’s victory last night: 1 — people I’ve never heard of got playing time. 2 – ”only” 23,717 attended… let’s go Orange!

According to the university, 34,414 tickets have been sold so far for the SU vs. Georgetown game on Saturday at the Carrier Dome.. that puts it about 200 folks shy of the NCAA on-campus attendance record (set two years ago vs. Villanova). Unfortunately, I won’t be there but have been there for 30,000+ and it’s amazing. Be sure to watch at 4 p.m. on CBS!

Being a Pitt fan, obviously it is ingrained in me to root against Syracuse. However, given my intense dislike of U-Conn, it will be very easy for me to be pulling for the Orangemen on Wednesday. FYI – that same mindset will be there in the future whenever they play Duke!!

Funny to see that Lunardi has Maryland out (and they should be right now) and NC State as a 6th seed? Beating depleted Duke team at home gets you alot I guess. Maryland needs to do the same Feb 16 I guess
