I don’t think the Caps and Pens will meet in round 2. Obviously, both teams got huge OT wins last night to go up 3 to 1. However, I think that Montreal will beat Boston and/or that Buffalo beats Philly. Assuming the Caps and Pens don’t have meltdowns of epic proportion, they will advance, with the Caps playing Montreal, and the Pens either Philly or Buffalo.
You’re right…I think Montreal or Buffalo will move on, which means if we meet up, it will be Eastern Conference Finals!

@penguins Nice game by the Pens last night, Crosby with the SO winner
Things are looking up for the Pens now because Crosby is a beast (4 points last night), Malkin is putting up points as he’s expected to (3 points last night), and Fleury has played 5 strong games in a row (stopping both shootout attempts last night). Plus, to top all of that off, Jordan Staal should be back in the next 3 or 4 weeks. The PK is great. The PP still struggles but, that was expected with the loss of Sarge.

@penguins we have got to find a way to make telephone pictionary a game we can bet on. Also have you checked out Boardwalk Empire? I saw the 1st episode and it was pretty good.
You ever visit AC, Steve? It’s a wild playground that’s for sure. Boardwalk Empire has been great, Eastbound & Down in Mexico is truly an emmy-award winning show haha
I actually haven’t been to AC yet, but am hoping to go there soon. I need to catch up on Empire but it looks to have the makings of another great HBO show. I watched Eastbown and Down last year and thought it was hilarious, but haven’t caught it this year yet

@penguins 3-0 start is pretty impressive especially since both Big Ben and Leftwich weren’t in there. This week will be tough against the Ravens but they are in Pittsburgh so that should help.

I booked a room when the game was first announced, just in case. I just priced some tickets on some sites yesterday and it really wasn’t THAT bad. Found some 300-500 level seats for around $300. We’ll see… As for you rocking the red…I think you’ll look like a tiny drop of blood in a black and gold sea.
I just read about the HBO show and for sure I’ll watch it, but I hope it doesn’t prove to be a distraction for the team (the Penguins, that is… I hope it cripples the Caps!!!) I don’t think the Pens have the collection of egos that the Caps do.
I saw where Barnaby and Hradrek picked the Pens to not only win the East but to win it all (though Melrose I think picked the Caps to win the East but lose in the Finals).

@penguins I agree completely, that was a great trade (well both of them) but adding Ponikarovsky gives them a nice Russian trio on that 2nd line.
