I don’t think the Caps and Pens will meet in round 2. Obviously, both teams got huge OT wins last night to go up 3 to 1. However, I think that Montreal will beat Boston and/or that Buffalo beats Philly. Assuming the Caps and Pens don’t have meltdowns of epic proportion, they will advance, with the Caps playing Montreal, and the Pens either Philly or Buffalo.

Things are looking up for the Pens now because Crosby is a beast (4 points last night), Malkin is putting up points as he’s expected to (3 points last night), and Fleury has played 5 strong games in a row (stopping both shootout attempts last night). Plus, to top all of that off, Jordan Staal should be back in the next 3 or 4 weeks. The PK is great. The PP still struggles but, that was expected with the loss of Sarge.

I just read about the HBO show and for sure I’ll watch it, but I hope it doesn’t prove to be a distraction for the team (the Penguins, that is… I hope it cripples the Caps!!!) I don’t think the Pens have the collection of egos that the Caps do.

I booked a room when the game was first announced, just in case. I just priced some tickets on some sites yesterday and it really wasn’t THAT bad. Found some 300-500 level seats for around $300. We’ll see… As for you rocking the red…I think you’ll look like a tiny drop of blood in a black and gold sea.
