It is the Pirates…also, knowing our luck, the Pirates could still catch up.
In reply to - Steve Shoup posted an update: @pauld Nats have scored more than 5 runs pretty sure that means the world is ending tomorrow · View -
That’s pretty hilarious. You sure Desmond isn’t also commenting on the kids age?
In reply to - Steve Shoup posted an update: @pauld did you see that Ian Desmond said that Harper’s new nickname is Bam Bam after the broken bat incident? · View -
@steveospeak Go LaRouche, huh?

I just went back and watched the highlights. It wasn’t the Nats beating the Pirates, it really was Strasburg beating the Pirates.
In reply to - Steve Shoup posted an update: @pauld Thank god we have LaRoche or I don’t think we’d average more than a run a game. Nats need to have a big series in Geoff’s neck of the woods. · View -
That was a less then fortunate series all around. We struggled runs, both ours and theirs. Damn Pirates.

Of all the games in the series to not watch, I missed a big one. And what was this about Hamels intentionally hitting Harper? It is a shame about Werth, didn’t he break that same wrist a few years ago?
In reply to - Steve Shoup posted an update: @pauld did you see about Werth breaking his wrist? I’m guessing he’s done till after the All-Star break · View -
No one really responded, so I was debating whether to just watch it at home or just go anyway. If you want to go, though, I’m definitely game.

Harper got some good hits there. When he gets going, he gets going!
In reply to - Steve Shoup posted an update: @pauld so the question tonight is can the Nats actually score more than 2 runs? · View -
You are getting your wish, they have more than 2 on the board. Unfortunatly, Arizona has more…

Hey, I’d be happy with one run if they can shutdown the sloppy runs they gave away last night. And while Harper hasn’t been putting the points on the board, that kid nailed it on that crazy throw from left field to home last night in the third, if I recall. It was a close call, but he was out even if the ref didnt see it.

@steveospeak https://twitter.com/#!/Nationals/status/195978925069971456 We might get to see how this kid will play!

I was just reading that article. Yeah, Zim has been amazing so far. He keeps diving for some of these hits, it’s not surprising he busts his shoulder.
And how crazy is it that even if we didn’t have Strasburg, people would be talking about how Gio Gonzales is topping the stats for pitchers across the league?
In reply to - Steve Shoup posted an update: @pauld did you see Zimmerman might need to go on the D.L.? Not sure if they can be missing both he and Morse and keep this up. Then again our pitching has been filthy · View -
Jason Gann and Elijah Wood deserve Emmys. End of story.

Damn damn damn. I’m still proud of the Nats, they fought really hard against a good opponent.

And how great has Zimmerman been today?

Phrasing! And, this is the team who apparently does some of their best after the 11th.

Not to be a cliche, but yeah, what are the umps doing? That looked like they’re trying to just gift wrap the game to the Reds. Thank Buddha that Bernadina can run, him grabbing home was fantastic.

It’s going to be a long 6 weeks. Hopefully the Nats remember that a clean up hitter is nice and all, but everyone IS allowed to score runs on their own.
In reply to - Steve Shoup posted an update: @pauld boy it would be great if the Nats could win tonight. With Morse being gone for awhile as many early wins as we can steal is key. · View -
and I speak too late. Guess it’ll be a thriller of a 10th…
