Made my Pick’em picks today for Week 2! My Skinnies are favored and of course I picked them!
Point spreads were really challenging this week….like the Steelers game…I know they’re going to beat Seattle at home in Pittsburgh…but will they by 14? That’s what makes it fun!

Pittsburgh is probably the safest game of the day in my opinion. I normally wouldn’t give a team 14 points, but the Seattle Seahawks suck and after what happened to the Steelers in Baltimore they will respond in a big way. It’s the home opener and Mike Tomlin will have them ready.

when was the last time the lions were favored by 9!? the problem with taking a 14+ pt spread is the back door cover. When you are up 23-3 late in the 4th and Seattle drives down the field for a meaningless score to make the game 23-10, all of a sudden you lose. Of course, that can be said for almost any pt spread. GO LIONS!
That’s a good point Matt! That happens all the time…you really have to be killing a team (like the Eagles to the Redskins last November Monday Night Football…we haven’t forgot) to win by 14 or more points!
How about your Lions…I think they could compete for wildcard this year! You’ve got your Mighican unbelievable comeback and playing well, Tigers going to playoffs and Lions looking good…you’ve got a good sports life right now! And your Red Wings are coming back soon! Hope everything else is well too!
