haha, yeah I never saw them overturning this. It’s a gray area on both sides and the league has more precedence backing them up.

I’m still upset over this issue and think we did nothing wrong, but it is what it is and we just need to do the best job we can in-spite of this injustice. Sounded like a Don King disciple right there, LOL!

The Arbitrator has rejected the appeal by the Redskins and cowboys to reinstate their Salary Cap dollars. This news is pretty bad for the Redskins as they are still in the process of rebuilding and could have used the extra money next season to add pieces around RGIII. Given the high number of draft picks [...]

Real question is did Todd Haley call Big Ben yet? The Steelers like the Ravens, Giants and Packers continue to build and rebuild without having down years. This is just another case.

The last couple of years the Steelers have had one of the worst lines in the league, but after spending first round picks on C Maurkice Pouncey and G David DeCastro, and 2nd rounders on tackles Marcus Gilbert and Mike Adams over the last 3 years that could very well be changing. Also former stud [...]

Yeah and I thought that was pretty good for Kerrigan to just miss the cut. There is a ton of young talent out there, so to essentially be in the top 20 is pretty good.

NFL.com released a list of 10 young stars in the league. What do you think of the list and was anyone overrated? http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d82921d5e/article/young-guns-top-10-nfl-players-under-the-age-of-25

Beltway, I appreciate your sentiment and while I’m not denying that Ovie can be tough on coaches, Hunter DID NOT give into him like Boudreau and others did. Hunter got his way by benching Ovie at big moments and, if you read a lot of the accounts in the Washington Post and some other media [...]

Dale Hunter wanted to go back home, but there’s a lot more to this story behind the scenes than we all know. I’m not going to start throwing out some things until I can somehow verify what I was told earlier today. The person who told me has given me some good tips in the [...]

Ovechkin isn’t going anywhere… he’s got a lifetime contract, essentially, and no other team wants that deal — if the Caps were willing to trade him, which they aren’t…
Meg, I have no idea who is going to be the Caps’ coach…

I remember the one All-Star game when Jagr went off during the game about Ron Wilson. Wilson was soon gone. Ovie has done nothing like that. All he does is play hard every game. I think he could have been critical during the playoffs about the lack of playing with Nick Backstrom but he kept [...]

Good point about the coach getting them to buy in and having the experience of already winning a Cup.
Any names you suggest they target in their coaching search?

I don’t think there was an Ovechkin conflict. If you read Ovie’s quotes throughout the playoffs, this was the first time he said that he was putting the team first. Boudreau never got him to say that…. Hunter has an amazing deal back in London, Ontario, and this was his decision to leave. As for [...]

This was Dale Hunter’s decision 100% of the way and the team was going to give him a nice deal to stay but he didn’t want to be here and I’m not shocked by his decision. I’m surprised somewhat, but his relationship with Alex Ovechkin was terrible and a BIG part of why he left [...]

I certainly don’t know the story about junior hockey in Canada and therefore I am confused. How lucrative can owning a junior hockey be? I understand wanting to be near family but if he really is a “Caps for life” kind of guy, why wouldn’t he want to come back if the Caps and others [...]
