I know he wants to get paid, but from what I’ve read he’s really only looking for a 1 year deal (and it will be pro rated) So if you pay him $12 million (only $8 million for the last 4 months) I think that is fine.

Based on I never hear him referred to as Griffin or Robert Griffin I think its a smart move for him. Hope he makes a lot of money off of it meaning he is real good for a real long time.

They were due for a loss like last night. Need a good start from Arrieta tonight. Might be time to try a new #3 hitter, Markakis is a disaster hitting. His at bats have been horrible.

The winning streak is over, but they had their worst starting pitcher on the mound and no real bullpen after the game in Boston. Still, winning two of every three games will get them at or near playoff contention… so today is another game, hopefully with a better result.
agreed this is a key game for them to see how they bounce back

hopefully the O’s luck is beginning to turn around with Reimold producing, Wieters taking his game to the elite level, Jones peaking etc.But yeah they are going to need even more luck. The good thing is though at least the O’s can maintain a decent payroll.

Me too…. overall I think their pitching has exceeded expectations… it’s still early… but I always like to say that the difference between a .500 season (which would be a huge accomplishment for them, quite frankly) and a 90-win season is about 1-2 wins a month.
