I’ve heard that he will announce his retirement at some point and has already accepted the fact his career is over. I hate to see guys go out this way, but it’s always a risk.

I hadn’t seen that yet! 4th…whew. I don’t always like huge expectations early, but I think we’re getting used to them
I really hope we don’t drop any of the easy early games. If we can make it through and give our new QB (my money is on Bennett still) some time to get his legs, I really do have high hopes.

I know he wants to get paid, but from what I’ve read he’s really only looking for a 1 year deal (and it will be pro rated) So if you pay him $12 million (only $8 million for the last 4 months) I think that is fine.

The O’s look good and we don’t at this point. But the Nats really need to get thuis win before heading out on the tough road trip ahead.

We need all the offense we can get, LOL! The Nats have a very tough upcoming schedule over their next 30 games after today.

@skeltz boy the O’s are looking pretty good. It will be a tough game today vs Strasburg though?
We were there, and yes it was tough. They have some great pitching and a few sluggers as well. They also don’t seem to make as many defensive errors as we do. 2 out of 3 aint bad though!

Your right I was looking at his stats from two years ago. Headley and Gonzalez aren’t in the same boat. And I know the Padres will try to promote him as a better hitter, but there is no guarantee teams will bite on that. Even in a hitters park Headley is not a 20HR guy [...]
