I heard someone on ESPN say this morning that the old adage that “defense wins championships” was going to be proven wrong this weekend in Foxborough … really?! There’s a reason why it’s been said for so long. I don’t think the Saints and especially the Packers are enjoying how far their ridiculously powered offenses [...]
This is true…and I think Ray Rice and Flacco still can get it done on offense too…that’s why I picked Ravens…they have more balanced attack…where as Pats just have an amazing offense!
I still can’t believe both Brees & Rodgers are at home this weekend! Unreal!

The media is drooling over the Pats’ 6-1 lifetime record against the Ravens. But have you heard the Ravens are undefeated against 2012 playoff teams and the Pats have yet to beat a team that was above .500 in the regular season?
I did not know that fact (I knew Pats beat my lowly Redskins…and barely)! Very interesting!
You can find a stat to support any theory. The game will come down to whether the Ravens can slow down the Pats’ defense and whether the Patriots defense can play well. I think the Patriots win this one.
True (about stat for everything)…but that stat is pretty amazing! Why are analysts not talking about THAT?!

I’m actually feeling better about Ravens vs. Pats then vs. Texans. The Ravens always play better when they are the underdog, whether legitimately or just in their minds.
Going into Foxborough, they are definitely the underdogs … so they’re more likely to be aggressive and win.

Not feeling great about Sunday’s game vs. the Bengals. Sure, we’re perfect in the AFC North this year and haven’t lost to an above .500 team yet … but going on the road to face a team with a strong pass offense and that needs to win to make the playoffs is tough no matter who you are.
All good points…I would think the Ravens have it…except for the fact that Bengals are playing for their playoff lives. That makes this game difficult to predict.
That’s what makes it so interesting. Good luck…will be fun to watch!

You don’t really see Brian Billick’s name popping up too much when talking about coaching vacancies, but you have to think he’d be in the running for some of the new openings. He’s doing great at Fox though, so not sure if he’s actually accept a coaching gig now.
