I smell DYNASTY for the 2010s! Why?
-Fired the team tumor that was Vinny Cerrato.
-Hired a legitimate and ACTUAL GENERAL MANAGER in Bruce Allen (the history and nostalgia doesn’t hurt there either)
-Fired Jim Zorn…nice guy but wasn’t doing the job!
-Hired an OFFENSIVE minded head coach with Super Bowl rings in Mike Shanahan.
-Hired an agressive defensive coordinator in Jim Haslett.
-Hopefully make impressive moves in free agency and offseason and we’ll be in business!
Who believes the same?!

Based on I never hear him referred to as Griffin or Robert Griffin I think its a smart move for him. Hope he makes a lot of money off of it meaning he is real good for a real long time.

News came out today that “RGIII” and some of its other various forms will now be trademarked by Griffin. http://changelegal.com/2012/05/09/robert-griffin-iii-a-perfect-example-of-proactively-protecting-intellectual-property/ On one hand it seems premature and perhaps a bit much, but at the same time it is his name which is essentially a brand. I knew this would happen, but surprised it happened before training camp even started. I just hope he A) stays healthy and B) can pick up the offense and NFL system very quickly!

Mike Shanahan is now on the record saying that rookie Robert Griffin is his new QB. Is this the right move, despite all the failed rookie QB’s who are rushed into service?
It may take some of the pressure off the Rookie, although I don’t think it surprised anyone, except Shanahan.
It’s a long camp and pre-season

I’m very upset by this news on Hankerson! He was one of the few bright spots and exciting players left to hope for the future!
Seems like more injuries this year everywhere….especially Redskins! Maybe because of the stupid lockout!
Hankerson had such a great game on Sunday. I’m so disappointed that he is out for the season now.

Leonard Hankerson was put on I.R. today with a torn Labrum in his hip http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/6425/leonard-hankerson. Horrible news for the Skins since he was just starting to breakout. He should be fully healthy by next year though.
