Preparing for REDSKINS DYNASTY!

Public Group active 1 week, 1 day ago

For any true Redskins fan! Comment or start forum posts about the Redskins here!

I smell DYNASTY for the 2010s! Why?

-Fired the team tumor that was Vinny Cerrato.
-Hired a legitimate and ACTUAL GENERAL MANAGER in Bruce Allen (the history and nostalgia doesn’t hurt there either)
-Fired Jim Zorn…nice guy but wasn’t doing the job!
-Hired an OFFENSIVE minded head coach with Super Bowl rings in Mike Shanahan.
-Hired an agressive defensive coordinator in Jim Haslett.
-Hopefully make impressive moves in free agency and offseason and we’ll be in business!

Who believes the same?!

Redskins Fans: Tim Tebow Trade Idea? (7 posts)

Ok…I know I can be delusional about my Redskins. But with the QB battle in Denver and Orton & Quinn playing well, it looks like that could leave Tebow on the outside looking in…does anyone else think this could be a good trade for the Redskins? Would Denver want to trade him if they feel he’d be the 3rd string this year?

He couldn’t cost a 1st rounder could he?? Of course I’d love to look at him more ;) …but in all seriousness I think he’s a fiesty, hard worker that will find a way to win in this league and become a franchise QB. Would it be smart to go after him now and hope he cost less than drafting a QB in first round next year? How much do you think they’d want?

Benefits to Become Redskins Next Franchise QB…
-He’ll have 2 years as a pro under his belt (more than rookie next year)
-He’d have a year in our system (more than rookie next year)
    -He’s mobile
-Hard worker, proven winner, coachable (Shanny would love that!)
    -I love him!

Thoughts? I really think Shanny & son should give this some thought!!

I think he would cost at least a 2nd rounder and that is way too much for the Skins to give up. The Redskins still have multiple questions along the line, needs at ILB and of course QB to deal with. Tebow might have two years of experience, but he came into the league so raw that he probably isn’t any more advanced than a typical rookie (not counting Luck who is far more advanced).

I thought we needed to add a QB. But after watching the last two preseason games I am leaning toward a wait and see approach. I know it’s only two preseason games, but..I want to see what happens and I think I will have to trust the coaches. Let’s hope we are pleasantly surprised.

Yeah, while the Redskins need a QB of the future we mine as well wait this year out and look towards next season. Next year both Matt Flynn and Caleb Hannie are UFA’s and it appears to be a strong draft class.

I wouldn’t give up a 2nd round pick to Denver for Tebow and think we should hold off doing anything until after this season.

Tebow is the totally wrong QB for the Redskins (or, quite frankly, any other team).

I’d give up a 2nd rounder to Denver – but only for Orton – even though he’s not as good looking as Tebow (not a quality that’s on my criteria list, but I thought I’d react to Megan’s list!). Actually, I agree with the rest of you, There are reasons to play wait and see and perhaps have a better shot at someone who would be right for our system.
