Real question is did Todd Haley call Big Ben yet? The Steelers like the Ravens, Giants and Packers continue to build and rebuild without having down years. This is just another case.

The last couple of years the Steelers have had one of the worst lines in the league, but after spending first round picks on C Maurkice Pouncey and G David DeCastro, and 2nd rounders on tackles Marcus Gilbert and Mike Adams over the last 3 years that could very well be changing. Well Dixon is the pick for this weeks game when the Steelers meet the Falcons. Time will tell if this is the right decision. I know that he didn’t do well in the pre season, but watching him last year when he was in the game I thought he did a good job. I still like Charley Batch. Lets see what happens. IT’S FOOTBALL SEASON !!!
I think dixon is better than batch because he’s mobile…but you’re right time will tell!

I think Al asks the key question. That O-Line has been suspect for a while – even during their last Super Bowl run. With Colon out and a rookie at center, it could get interesting. While Dixon is elusive, I don’t think you want to have him running around to make plays. He’ll make some, but I think his inexperience will also result in some critical mistakes. Leftwich has the size and strength to stand in the pocket and take some hits yet still make the throws. I think ultimately, the O-Line weakness in going to hurt the running game more than anything.

I saw that Dixon didn’t have a great game the other night. Sounds like Leftwich is the right choice to start while Ben is out.

While Ben is on suspension, the Steelers have to go with the proven pro in Leftwich as the starter. Dixon is an exciting player who can make big plays with his legs, but his two big interceptions show his inexperience. Question is: can the O-line (with a new center) be able to protect the immobile Leftwich?
