I know the Dolphins have a Chad Henne, but I have heard rumors that they might consider making a move for Carson Palmer. How does that shake up the draft?

I think Carson Palmer is washed up and whoever is stupid enough to trade for him will be in as much as trouble as the Redskins trading for McNabb. Don’t know that any team is stupid enough to give up that much for him. But I would think most people wouldn’t want to give up picks for him.

I actually think someone will trade for Palmer, though I agree with Meg if they give up 1st round value they will be highly disappointed (though he is at least signed for multiple years and doesn’t make as much (it’s close) as McNabb).

My guess is the Dolphins sign a veteran and draft someone (likely in the 3rd or 4th rounds) rather than giving up picks for a Palmer or McNabb.

call me crazy, but I think a change of scenery could be something that would lead to some success for Palmer. He’s made it pretty clear this offseason that he is not happy in Cincy. Maybe if he “took his talents to south beach” then he’d flourish in the sun.

I think Palmer still has a little left in the tank and getting out of Cincinnati could do wonders for him. The Bengals have mostly been a train-wreck of an organization for much of his time there. I don’t fault him for wanting out.

How many quarterbacks has that worked for though? Besides Kurt Warner? Because it certainly didn’t work for McNabb and all the other veterans the Redskins tried to make it work with!
But I agree Tyler the dolphins would probably be better off with a veteran for next couple years than a rookie.

I think Palmer can still be a solid quarterback on another team, I just don’t think he will ever go back to the elite status that he was earlier in his career. I would be shocked if its the Dolphins given their lack of picks, but teams that could make sense are the 49ers, Seahawks, Vikings, and maybe Tennesse and Arizona

Meg that is kinda the problem, the Redskins are the trainwreck organization, mainly because the focus on things like QB’s, WR’s, TE’s and RB’s without taking care of the Lines. Trent Green, Brad Johnson and even Jason Campbell have had success once they left Washington.
