For the Washington Wizards fans that still exist
Public Group active 2 months, 4 weeks agoOk, it’s pretty tough to appreciate this franchise these days, so I thought I would make a fan group to boost morale (probably won’t happen).

Yeah I don’t think we will get any stars but I think we can get some solid guys in FA. A lot will depend on what prices these guys get and how the new CBA shakes out, but there are some interesting SG’s on the market, J.R. Smith, Marcus Thornton etc. Glenn Davis, Josh McRoberts [...]

I agree, Iguodala and Gay definitely come at a steep price, and I think both are a bit overpaid at this point. I’m just afraid that this draft doesn’t yield much talent overall (although no one really knows), and we won’t have many options in the future unless we plan on being a lottery team [...]

I think it will be tough to trade up, as I think the T-wolves will want more than the 18th pick in return. I think I’d actually look to trade back. Primarily I’d want a first rounder next year, but if you can’t land that even an extra pick this year would hardly be the [...]

What do we do with the draft this year? It looks like Leonard might be the pick at 6 — it would be great if we could move up and get Kanter or Williams. Honestly, while this goes against the grain of rebuilding, I would be happy if we packaged the pick for someone like [...]

Washington wasn’t too lucky in the lottery, but they can still help their rebuild process if they land some quality guys. I don’t know how easy it will be to trade up, so trading back might be the best option. If they stay at 6 I would probably target a Morris twin, or Leonard or [...]

It’s hard not to be thrilled with Crawford, and I think overall, post-abe pollin, Ernie Grunfeld has done an awesome job. Going back to Crawford, I’ve seen him make some really impressive passes. The guy has already logged a triple-double and a 39 point outing. I think at this point he’s already easily considered a [...]

Since coming over to the Wizards the rookie guard is averaging 16.6 ppg, 3.6 apg, and 3.3 rpg, and his numbers are improving even more since he has been a starter. Both his FG % and FT% are going up and at an area that they need to be. His 3pt % is low, but [...]

Will they be able to trade him this year and get good value back? Seems like they should move in that direction and build around Wall!

I think the worst part about this is that Arenas feels the need to tell the media how he duped his coach. Why does he feel obligated to announce that his injury was lie? Pretty clear that Arenas loves attention. He probably thought that announcing his consideration for his friend and teammate would cast a [...]

Apparently last night Gilbert Arenas had a phantom injury last night http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/10/12/AR2010101206902.html . While I thought the injury could be ‘overstated’ as not to mar the Wizards preseason home opener and the debut of John Wall in front of the home crowd. I never thought that it was Arenas’ call or that he did so [...]
