Steve’s Week 4 Picks & Analysis:

49ers over Rams:          colinkap

This is an interesting game as the 49ers will be without star pass rusher Aldon Smith and their offense has been inept the past two weeks. While that sounds like an upset, this team is too talented and well coached to go down three weeks in a row. Expect Colin Kaepernick to have a big bounce back game.

Ravens over Bills:

The Bills have been a surprise so far this year, but the Ravens played a really good game last week and they look to be a contender once again. I think their defense will be able to contain the Buffalo offense, and the Ravens offense should be able to move the ball fairly easily.

Bengals over Browns:

I think this is a pretty easy game for the Bengals. I know the Browns showed some fight last week, but it was hardly a great game by them, Brian Hoyer threw three interceptions, and will be facing a much tougher defense this week. The Bengals will be able to better contain Cameron and Gordon to prevent them from beating them.

Bears over Lions:

I know the Lions are home and are 2-1, but this team really hasn't played anyone yet. The Bears haven't had the toughest schedule, but they did knock off the Bengals in the first game. The Lions are also going to be without their number two receiver, which could make it tough if the Bears can take away Calvin Johnson, like they did last year.

Texans over Seahawks:

This is a bold call, but I like Houston to bounce back in this game. Seattle is never as good on the road, and I think this is one they could lose.

Colts over Jaguars:

This game shouldn't be too tough for the Colts and in fact it wouldn't be shocking to see some back-ups get some work in the 2nd half. The Jags are just a lost football team at the moment and can't get anything done offensively. The Colts defense isn't typically great, but they just shut down the 49ers offense.

Chiefs over Giants:

It's tough to predict that a team like the Giants will fall to 0-4, but the Chiefs are playing great football, and of course Andy Reid is very familiar with Tom Coughlin. This game should be closer, but the Chiefs defense will keep the Giants off the scoreboard enough to win this game.

Steelers over Vikings:

Pittsburgh almost came back to beat the Bears last week, and I think they finally get a win this week in London. The Vikings are struggling right now and are basically finding ways to lose games.

Cardinals over Buccaneers:

The Buccaneers are benching their starting quarterback and rolling with a 3rd round rookie who struggled big time this preseason. The Cards defense has to be licking their lips and this team should easily be able to get the win here.

Titans over Jets:

I think this will be one of the closer games of the week as both teams are pretty evenly matched. The Titans are at home so I look for them to pull out the win here.

Cowboys over Chargers:    tonyromo2

Dallas is on the road here, but the Chargers defense doesn't strike much fear into anyone. After the performance they had over the Rams, the Cowboys should easily be able to take care of business this week as they look to cement themselves as the team to beat in the NFC East.

Broncos over Eagles:

Denver is just dominating right now, and Peyton Manning can seemingly do no wrong. That likely won't change this week against the Eagles who have struggled defensively. The Broncos are used to seeing up tempo and their defense should give the Eagles some problems in the game.

Redskins over Raiders:

The misery has to end at some point, and this is a good week for it to happen. Pryor could be out giving the Redskins defense a small advantage. Washington will look to get their ground game going and get back to basics this week.

Falcons over Patriots:

Atlanta is in a tough spot as the Saints are starting to run away with this division. The Patriots won't be an easy game, but at home the Falcons have to be able to win this one.

Saints over Dolphins:

The Dolphins have been off to a great start, but this would be a huge upset if they take this game in New Orleans. The Saints have been looking great so far, and will probably be just too much for Miami to handle offensively. This should be one of the more entertaining games to watch this week though.

WEEK 4 SUPERLATIVES:

Biggest Lock for Win:

MATT:  Colts over Jaguars    andrewluck_needsresized

The Colts just manhandled a very talented 49ers team, winning 27-7. Now, they face the least talented team in the league. Expect the Colts to run all over the Jaguars 32nd ranked run defense.

WILLYPOPS:  Colts over Jaguars

Does this even really need to be discussed?

STEVE:  Colts over Jaguars

It's sad, but it really has to be the Colts over the Jaguars. Jacksonville hasn't really been competitive in a single game this year, and that is not likely to change this week against a team that just acquired a featured back and upset the 49ers on the road. If the Jaguars can keep the score within 20 they should consider this a moral victory.

Most Likely Upset:

MATT:  Rams over 49ers

As I said earlier, the 49ers just lost big to the Colts, dropping themselves to 1-2 and Colin Kaepernick hasn't looked good in those two losses. They travel to St. Louis to face a team that beat and tied them last year. You know the Rams will be playing tough here.

WILLYPOPS:  Giants @ Chiefs

It’s hard to imagine that Tom Coughlin will allow this team to continue to underperform. Combine that with the Chiefs perhaps playing a little bit above their heads, and you have a recipe for an upset.

STEVE:  Seahawks @ Texans

I think the most likely upset might be Texans over Seattle. I know the Texans are coming off a bad game and the Seahawks are one of the best teams in the league, but I think the Texans can win this game at home. Houston's defense isn't too shabby themselves and their offense has the potential to be good.

MATT:  Patriots over Falcons

Both teams have had their struggles this season and they are evenly matched in this game. I'm taking Tom Brady to lead a game winning drive on Sunday night to give the Patriots a three-point victory.

WILLYPOPS:  Lions over Bears

This one has the potential to be one of those back and forth games. Playing at home, I see the Lions putting together a late drive to win it.

STEVE:  Jets @ Titans

Both teams are playing better than expected this season, and both teams have shown an ability to play defense. I think this will be a close, low scoring game and could end up 14-13 or something in that neighborhood.
