Waiver Wire Pickups for Week Fifteen

Fantasy Football Waiver Wire

Mychal Rivera

Mychal Rivera has had a very quiet, but successful season. He has scored some touchdowns, gotten some catches, put up some yards. Never anything huge, but enough to make him the only player on the Oakland Raiders that has any fantasy value whatsoever. Then last weekend he exploded for over 100 and a touchdown against the San Francisco 49ers. The 49ers were supposed to destroy Oakland in this game. Derek Carr shows a lot of potential at times, but he is still a rookie. We cannot expect a rookie quarterback to throw three touchdowns every game. However, we can expect good things out of a rookie quarterback’s tight end every week.

Jonathan Stewart

Jonathan Stewart started in week fourteen in place of DeAngelo Williams who was forced to sit due to injuries. Stewart went off for 155 rushing yards and a touchdown against the New Orleans Saints. The Panthers are hosting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers next week. If Williams is unable to go, Stewart would make a nice flex play.

Charles Johnson

So much for Cordarrelle Patterson being the Vikings’ big time sleeper candidate. The Vikings did end up having a sleeper at wide receiver, but it turned out to be Charles Johnson. Johnson has emerged as the Vikings’ deep threat. Though his fantasy numbers would not convince anyone, he has helped the Vikings’ offense out a lot this year. Last weekend, his on the field play finally paid dividends in the stat lines. He posted 103 receiving yards and a touchdown. For those of you in keeper leagues looking to add depth going into next season, this guy is a must.

Josh Brown

Josh Brown is coming off another big time performance. He managed to put up 20 fantasy points last week. This nice game comes after a stretch of small point totals despite not missing a field goal attempt in the last three weeks. The reason why Brown was able to help the fantasy owners who actually had him last week is that the Giants’ offense was moving. Now that the team looks like they are rolling on all cylinders, Brown could be a nice late season addition.
