Fanspeak Fantasy Football: Waiver Wire Pick Ups Week 12

Fantasy Football Waiver Wire

1. Bobby Rainey, RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
After the injury to Mike James in week 10 happened, no one saw Bobby Rainer making a huge fantasy impact.  Well this past week Rainey was the best fantasy running back in the NFL with 30 carries for 163 yards and 2 touchdowns.  The Bucs face an average run defense in the Lions this week.

2. Rod Streater, WR, Oakland Raiders
Last week Streater caught 6 passes for 84 yards and a touchdown, on 8 targets.  He is not the number 1 receiver in Oakland, but that could be a good thing against the Titans this week because Streater will not get all the attention from the defensive backs.

3. Donald Brown, RB, Indianapolis Colts
Brown is only owned in almost 8% of fantasy leagues right now, and he could be a great pick up this week.  The main reason being that Trent Richardson is carrying the ball less than 10 times a game the past 3 games.  Last week Brown had 14 carries, for 80 yards and a touchdown.  Look for Brown to get more carries again this week.

4. Kendall Wright, WR, Tennessee Titans
Last week against the Colts Wright went off for 9 receptions for 80 yards.  Wright is becoming a viable PPR receiver, and next week his production should continue when he faces the Raiders defenseRyan Fitzpatrick likes to throw the ball to Wright and it will continue.

5. Michael Crabtree, WR, San Francisco 49ers
Crabtree is cleared to play for the first time this year, and he should see some action this week.  Anquan Boldin has shown he is a primary target for Kaepernick, which should open the field up for Crabtree.  The 49ers play the Redskins next week which is a very favorable matchup for Crabtree.

6. Matt McGloin, QB, Oakland Raiders
The status of Terrelle Pryor is still uncertain, and the Raiders do not know if he is going to play next week against the Titans.  However, McGloin proved that he could be a viable option for the Raiders and fantasy owners putting up 19 fantasy points last week against the Texans.  Throwing for 3 touchdowns, and 197 yards passing, with no turnovers, which is a huge positive.  The Titans defense let up huge numbers last week and will continue to do that this week.

7. Michael Floyd, WR, Arizona Cardinals
Floyd has had an inconsistent and disappointing season for his fantasy owners because he had some high expectations coming into this season.  Last week however, he caught 6 passes for 193 yards and a touchdown putting up 25 fantasy points.  Against the Colts’ next week Floyd should continue to get a lot of targets and fantasy production.
