Good move for them, they last thing they wanted was their repeat chances thwarted due to having to rely on an untested center. Also, even if it ends up being like a 3rd or 4th round pick for Shipley, they are going to make such a haul in compensation picks next year it is not going to matter.

Solid move by Baltimore. If he comes in like the playoffs last season he surely helps. If he comes in not ready to go they can drop him and doubt there is really any harm done financially

"Don’t bet on it Ravens fans, the Steelers still return one of the best secondary’s from a defense that ranked first in the league in 2012. Losing players such as James Harrison and Mike Wallace may hurt the Steelers in the short term but it always worked out for Big Ben and company somehow. Pittsburgh has been one of the best organizations through the years when it comes to addition through subtraction."

Do they really return one of the best secondaries? Or did they lose arguably the best corner from that secondary (Keenan Lewis) in addition to losing half of their pass rush (Harrison). Taylor and Polamalu are getting older each year. Their secondary wasn't as good as it seemed statistically, and they were pathetic at forcing turnovers. I think they will always be competitive in games, but then again Cleveland is usually competitive in division rivalry games. I think the Steelers are going to lose alot of the close, tight games they used to win, and that will be the difference between when they used to go 11-5, and going 7-9 like last year. The lack of decent receiving options behind Antonio Brown, and the unimpressive RB collection will be their ultimate demise though.
