Who the Jets should Target in Free Agency

The Jets fired “salary cap guru” John Idzik is no longer the Jets general manager. They have over 40 million in cap space so you know this new regime is going to open up the check up and sign quite a few players to immediately impact this team.

1) Demaryius Thomas:

There are a bunch of great wide outs in this free agent class but I think Thomas is the most realistic option because I feel like he would be the least loyal to his current team and he has a relationship with former Bronco Eric Decker. Dez Bryant I think wants to stay in Dallas and I cannot see Randall Cobb leaving Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay. I think they only add a free agent wide out if they cut Percy Harvin. If they do not sign anyone, I think they look hard at Amari Cooper.

2) C.J. Spiller:

Chris Johnson‘s days as a New York Jets are numbered. Especially after this most recent arrest. Spiller would be a great fit for the Jets to compliment Chris Ivory. Spiller had the best years of his career with Chan Gailey in Buffalo who is now the Jets offensive coordinator so I expect them to make this move.

3) Antonio Cromartie:

Jets fans would love this pick up if they brought back Cromartie. It makes for a few reasons. The obvious reason being that he is already familar with the playing for the Jets and Jets players so he would fit in the lockerman. The other very good reason is that he played for new head coach Todd Bowles last year when  he was the defensive coordinator for the Arizona Cardinals last year. So Cromartie knows the defense and can help coach up the players. I  think that would be a perfect fit.

Other needs: The Jets need to sign or graft a guard. I would say that is a big need for them. As well, they need to target a outside linebacker and safety.
